Things that have changed:
- Cell phones: Cell phones and coverage are sporadic and you don’t pay for a carrier, you either can get a signal or you can’t and you also never know who is listening in on your calls. Most phones are either repaired older phones or home made hacks. To use a phone these days it takes a little technical savvy to register on a network when they change.
- Home phones: Home phones again service is dependent on the existence of lines in your area and require a little savvy to register them, each person is allowed to have a phone number and it is associated with their social security number. THESE LINES ARE TAPPED.
- Internet: Access to the internet is limited, you need a phone line or a cell phone and it is at dial-up speed. There’s not much out there these days. There is no such thing as freedom of information or speech and new sites get shut down daily. Watch what you do online they can see what you do.
- Hacking: Hacking is a crime. There are quite a few hackers out there though spawning new mobile webs and web resources somewhat of an underground internet mostly disconnected and fragmented but out there. You get caught accessing it its the same punishment as hacking.
